Persistently pushing through the presence of this life, hoping to one day see the light. It seems as if I live in the trenches. It feels as if I’m forsaken, even though His word states different. I feel alone. I no longer hear the voice of my Love, I no longer feel His touch…
Where are you my love, oh my soul? Why have you left me desolate?
Where are you my love, oh my soul? I’m feeling completely helpless…
I don’t want to be like the Israelites, taking 40 years to complete an 11-day journey, Deuteronomy 1:1-3.
I don’t wish to labor in vain so please build the house my Lord, Psalms 127:1.
Have you ever felt like you’re all alone during the storms of life? If you have, I’m here to remind you that you are never forsaken. I want you to look at the positive, look at things through faith eyes as visual eyes tell lies. Don’t believe the deceit of the enemy’s trickery. I promise that you are not in the same place as you were before, you are one step closer to your promised land, even if it doesn’t look like it.
Think of it as seed, time and harvest. Once you plant your seed, it doesn’t blossom right away, it must be watered and nurtured. Then, in due season it’s harvest time! Hold on to your faith and when you’ve done everything you know to do, stand on what God says.
Wait on the Lord be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord, Psalm 27:14.
Keep pushing, don’t falter, don’t faint, continue to go hard in your faith. As you persist and stand on God’s word, you are building your faith. God only needs mustard seed faith to move mountains in your life. Test and trials don’t feel good. Remember, even though you may feel forsaken, you are not. God is with you perfecting you, give Him your all. Diamonds were hidden until the pressure came! Persist.
About the Author: Jaleesa Cox
Hi, my name is Jaleesa, I’m from the South and I love me some Jesus!
Growing up, I never thought I would be an author. Such words spill from the mouth of someone who flunked the first year of Composition and Rhetoric in College!
However, time passed and I became inspired one day in church. My former pastor, who singing glory in heaven, was preaching about the love of God. I then had a light bulb moment! Jesus loves me. At that moment in 2014, my first poem was written. Now, the rest is history!
In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God. When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it’s up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.
5 STAR AMAZON REVIEW: “I really enjoyed this mini study. I like when things make you think and journal and you can focus on one aspect at a time. It was a great study.”
