I know this #writerwednesday is a day late, and I was thinking maybe we could make it #writerThursday but it really isn’t the same without the fun alliteration; so, we’ll just pretend today is Wednesday.
What has been on my heart in writing lately is JOY! The last two blog posts I wrote on my blog have been about JOY and the role it is playing in my life right now. Can I just say it took many years for my faith to grow and for me to find breakthrough in my life in regard to JOY.
It took many sad events in my life in order to realize the gift and blessing that JOY truly is, and not only that, but it has taken me that long to realize how to manifest JOY in my daily life. Sometimes I fail, and somedays I’m really successful at changing my mindset to one filled with JOY.
But today, I want to encourage every single writer out there to find something JOY filled to write about.
What brings you JOY? Think, pray, & meditate about the answer to this question; and then write a piece about that on your blog, in your journal, on Facebook and Instagram, or on a napkin at Starbucks. Then when you are done brainstorming about what brings you JOY, why not join in the Five things Friday link up where we list five things that bring us JOY every month? It’s so simple, the fourth Friday of every month write five things that brought you JOY and link up your blog post.
I do have a warning, though. Often when we focus on JOY, our JOY is going to get tested. Plus, not everyone is JOY filled and it can be so easy to allow your thoughts and heart to get filled with so many other thoughts and emotions that take away your JOY. So please, be guarded in this process but be open to being filled with JOY!
One of the wonderful gifts of having a JOY filled life is the awareness you get. Soon you’ll be running into people who are friendly, kind, and so very helpful. I’m thinking they have always been there, but sometimes we are so busy trying to earn the approval of the people who aren’t helpful, or our mind is too focused on everything but JOY, that we just don’t notice the people in this world who are truly kind and helpful.
So here is your challenge this month- figure out what brings you JOY and write about it! Be sure to remember to link up your blog post below!

In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God. When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it’s up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.
5 STAR AMAZON REVIEW: “I really enjoyed this mini study. I like when things make you think and journal and you can focus on one aspect at a time. It was a great study.”
