Hey y’all, so late #writerwednesday post going up today! I am definitely putting my “Grace is My Pace this Summer” into play here today.
So, something that has been on my mind this week a lot is to open my eyes. Sometimes I can spend a lot of time in my mind listening to my thoughts, insecurities, and replaying past mistakes or past offenses. But I have been feeling convicted in realizing that I can’t be focused on God’s vision, purpose, and even the gifts He has given me if I am not opening my eyes and processing the life that is truly set before me.
When we open our eyes and live in the moment, or the life that we currently have, then we are better able to see the vision and purpose God has for our life.
I think the greatest way we can get lost on this journey of writing is to live in our head instead of living in the moment.
It’s so easy to think about the possibility of failure, and letting that fear stop you from moving forward, instead of taking a risk and trying something new.
So today I want to challenge you to open your eyes instead of dwelling on thoughts that may or not be true, or may or may not be from the past or worries of the uncertain future. I know that when we start living like this then we will find:
- Solutions to our problems.
- Courage to mover forward and to do hard things.
- Hope in situations that feel hopeless.
- We will see the true blessings in our life instead of defining them as a burden in our life.
- We will find truth about God and those around us.
- We will find God guiding us down every dark path, and narrow winding road!
Do you feel like you have been living in your head and dwelling on your thoughts instead of opening your eyes and living in the moment? How has this affected your writing?

In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God. When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it’s up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.
5 STAR AMAZON REVIEW: “I really enjoyed this mini study. I like when things make you think and journal and you can focus on one aspect at a time. It was a great study.”
