What is the meaning of trust ?
In the Merriam- Webster Dictionary, it says;
Trust is : belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc.
How do you get trust ?
Do you earn it ?
I TRUSTED The LORD , when as a little girl my father and my mother were driving us to visit a relative. There were six of us children in the car ( my siblings ) and our Grandpa. My dad was very inebriated. God got us safely there while the car was traveling at 100 mph, as my Dad didn’t listen to our cries of, ” Slow down Daddy,” he just went faster.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when as a little girl, kids made fun of me and called me ” chubby” and said I was “poor.” They’d make fun of me if I had blue eyes, instead of brown.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when I got married and my husband went to Vietnam, while a Marine; in service for our Country.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my husband was state side in the Marines, when our first son was born and he couldn’t come home.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when I was pregnant with our second child, that we lost due to a miscarriage; described by our Doctor as nature’s way of getting rid of a bad pregnancy. To us, it was a baby that we loved and named “Precious” and will one day see in Heaven.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when I found out I was pregnant three months after losing “Precious.” He was born in November, after his Mommy was over due. GOD’S perfect timing.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my father had a massive heart attack in my home. After many attempts by me at CPR, he died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when He took my mother home in 2004. The grief I felt was overwhelming!
I TRUSTED The LORD, when our third son got hit by a car when he was in the first grade. He still, to this day doesn’t remember the details, other than his back pack with his lunch pail in it, being on his back and he slid under the car.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my husband was out of town and three of our sons had Chicken Pox and one was hallucinating due to a fever.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when I had Prayed for another child for a year. I had felt empty inside. We had three beautiful sons and then God Blessed us through adoption. He wasn’t born under my heart, but in it!
I TRUSTED The LORD, when thirteen years into my marriage, I found a lump. I had Breast Cancer. I had to have a radical Mastectomy.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my husband was working out of state a lot, while I was at home trying to raise our four Sons and working a job as a Nurse.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my husband had to have a Heart Cath in 2010 and two weeks later lost his job.
I TRUSTED The LORD, when my husband went to a Doctor two days ago, for a six month check up and the Doctor said, if I didn’t know you, I’d say you have Prostate Cancer. He has to go for testing in November.
We learn to trust God through or trials. They are heart wrenching to us, but God knew the trials we would face at our birth, because He knows our ending as well as our beginning.
That’s how we grow up in The LORD!
It says in the Bible that, for we walk by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
If we knew everything ahead of time that was going to happen to us, we would “opt ” out and let God know that, we didn’t sign up for this, but He already knew !
I TRUST YOU, LORD!

In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God. When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it’s up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.
5 STAR AMAZON REVIEW: “I really enjoyed this mini study. I like when things make you think and journal and you can focus on one aspect at a time. It was a great study.”
